Suprise, Gary Joseph

Gary Joseph Suprise of Waupaca, age 60, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Crystal River Nursing Home, due to a lengthy illness.

He was born on November 30, 1952. Gary attended St. Rose Catholic School in Clintonville through eighth grade. He graduated from Waupaca High School in 1972. He joined the National Guard right after high school and served for 7 years. Gary had a passion for driving truck and did so until he couldn’t anymore. He enjoyed coffee clutch with his friends; listening to country music and occasional trips to the casino.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, June and stepfather Ken Stecker of Waupaca; siblings: Judith (Duane) Moser of Grassy, MO; Mary (John) Raasch of Shawano; Dennis Suprise of Waupaca; Carol (Mike) Weller of Almond; Vicki (special friend, Mike Hoffman) Behle of Redgranite; step brothers and sisters: Karen and John Fauri of Largo, FL; Becky and Rusty Hoag of New Berlin, WI; Steve and Jill Stecker of Cedarburg, WI; William Stecker of Mauston, WI; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank “Slim” Suprise, paternal and maternal grandparents, Frank and Mae Suprise, William and Elona Koepsel and Ben Rouse.

The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca, with Father Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. The visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
