A new 40-foot flag pole has been installed at Hatten Memorial Stadium in New London.
The new pole was made possible by donations from local New London Veteran organizations who collectively donated $4,000 to the Hatten Stadium Foundation to install the new pole.
Those Veteran organizations include: American Legion Norris Spencer Post 263, Zuege Amvets Post 45, Veteran of Foreign Wars of the United States Learman-Schaller Post 2732, New London Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and the New London Disabled American Veterans Chapter 53. A special flag raising ceremony was held at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, prior to the New London Clippers game against Menasha.
