Stella Lucia Rogers, nee Vicedomini, age 84, of Iola, Wisconsin, died Sunday, July 7th, 2013.
She was born December 11, 1928, in Waterbury, CT to the late Caterina (Fiorillo) and Antonio Vicedomini. She was formerly Stella L. Foster of Naugatuck, CT. After graduating from Wilby High School in Waterbury, she worked for Dr. Santopietro, DDS, while continuing to assist in her father’s convenience store, National Ice Cream of Waterbury. She married and moved to Naugatuck and was active in the community; having been a past PTA President in the public school system as well as working in the mayor’s office for the town. She also worked at Roann Electronics in Wolcott.
She leaves her husband, John J. Rogers, whom she met in Illinois and then relocated to Wisconsin; as well as her children, Kevin Foster of California; Kimberly (Foster) Wilson and husband Jay of Florida; Glenn Foster and wife Carol of Arizona and Amy Foster of Danbury, CT. Her grandchildren include Kelci Wilson and Nathanael, Lauren, and Abby Foster. She also leaves a sister, Lena Sparano of Waterbury and a brother Roland Vicedomini of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
She will be cremated and a private memorial service held at a future date. Donations may be made in her name to Heartland Hospice. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
