Cartwright, Betty J.

Betty J. Cartwright was faithfully called home to heaven by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 18, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with dementia and rheumatoid arthritis.

Her suffering has ended and she woke up in heaven completely healed in mind and body.

She was born on June 14, 1934 in Greenville Kentucky to Neal and Bertha (Latham) McIntosh. On July 3, 1952, she married Clarence Cartwright. For several years Betty worked as a drapery seamstress for Prange’s. She was very active in her church. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Clarence, her children: Neil (special friend Paula) Cartwright, Lisa (Jeff) Young and Dave (fiancee Linda Callaway) Cartwright; six grandchildren: Kelly and Scott Cartwright, Nicole (Paul) Behnke, Ryan (Josie) Young, Keith and Holly Cartwright, as well as four great grandchildren. Betty is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Gary Cartwright and her sisters, Nurine (Delbert) Snodgrass and Dorothy McIntosh.

Funeral services for Betty will be held at 11:00am, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Faith Community Church, W2541 County Rd K, Waupaca, with Pastor Gary Strike officiating. Friends and family may call at the church from 10:00am until the hour of service. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Prairie Homes for their loving care of Betty.
