Waupaca Nomads to hold golf outing

The Waupaca Nomads 58th Annual Peddler’s Frolic will be held Monday Aug. 5, at the Waupaca Country Club.

A picnic style lunch (brats, hamburgers, potato salad, beans and beverage) will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.

The four-person golf scramble will follow with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start.

The cost for 18 holes of golf and the dinner is $85 per person ($340 per foursome). The cost for dinner alone is $25.

The entry fee also includes lunch, golf carts and full club house use, such as showers.

The lunch and dinner will be held at the Club House at the Waupaca Country Club, and will be served by Rockman’s Catering, of Plover.

Dinner will be served after golf, with golf event prizes and raffle prizes awarded after the dinner.

All proceeds from thr event will be used to support local youth activities.

Donations for 2012 were given to the Waupaca Youth Curling Club, Waupaca International Cultural Exchange, Tomorrow’s Children Foundation, Waupaca Library Children’s Reading Program, Waupaca Speed Skating Club, SADD (Waupaca High School Post Prom Party) and for two Waupaca High School scholarships.
