Although power has been restored to most WPS and WE Energies customers in Waupaca County, several pockets of outages remain scattered throughout the area.
Most of the remaining outages are in rural areas or where the storm damage was most severe.
Wisconsin Public Service reports that all Waupaca County customers now have power, however hundreds are still without electricity in the Fox Valley.
As of 8:30 a.m. Thursday, there were three customers without power south of Waupaca, according to WE Energies.
About 30 customers in rural Weyauwega and 82 near Royalton still have no power.
Power has not been restored to 173 customers south of New London and nearly 600 still have no power in the Hortonville area.
“So far we have restored 31,500 customers (more than 50 percent) in the Greater Fox Valley area since the beginning of the storm,” according to a press release from WE Energies. “Our goal is to restore 90 percent of customers by 6 p.m. Friday and the remaining customers in areas with the most severe damage restored by 6 p.m. Saturday.”
