St. Martin Lutheran church will host the Clintonville Area Crop Walk on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Registration starts at 6 p.m. and the event continues until 9 p.m. The walk will be held in W.A. Olen Park for about one hour – or as long as participants are able walk. The walk will be held in the St. Martin Lutheran School gymnasium if the weather does not cooperate.
The group will then be coming back to St. Martin for a soup kitchen meal. The St. Martin youth group will be having their Shantytown, where youth group members sleep in a cardboard box to help represent the homeless.
Pledge forms can be picked up by contacting Sue Aschliman at 715-853-7544 prior to the event to raise money for hunger world-wide. Forms will be distributed to churches that have participated in the event in the past. Interested persons can also make a personal donation on the night of the walk. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off for delivery to the food pantry.
