W-F girls 12th in New London

Weyauwega-Fremont’s girls’ cross country team placed 12th Sept. 21 at the Bulldog Invitational at New London’s Hatten Park.

Caragan Volz turned in a top-10 finish for the Indians, as she crossed the finish line n 16:05 to place ninth out of 99 runners.

Also placing for W-F were Paige Kempf (78th, 19:40); Miranda Arndt (81st, 20:19); Brianne Durrant (84th, 20:43); and Aysia Schroeder (87th, 21:24).

The W-F boys did not field a full team. Logan Kobiske placed 66th in 19:56, Austin Goetsch was 81st in 21:04 and Aaron Ebert was 93rd in 24:12.

The Indians competed in the Wautoma Invitational Sept. 24 and will head to Greenville Lions Park in Greenville Saturday, Sept. 28, for the Hortonville Invitational. Races are scheduled to get under way at 9 a.m.
