Weyauwega man charged with felony OWI

Joshua J. Robbert, 29, Weyauwega, was charged with a fifth drunken driving offense and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Shortly after midnight on Aug. 9, Weyauwega Police Officer Adam Rogge was outside of a bar when he heard a vehicle rev its engine and then squeal its tires. He saw the vehicle pull onto Pine Street at a high rate of speed.

Rogge pursued the car and made a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Robbert, had a suspended license and had been released from custody on May 21 on a $1,000 signature bond after being arrested for his fourth drunken driving offense.

At the time of his arrest on Aug. 9, Robbert had a 0.196 blood-alcohol level, according to the criminal complaint.

He was sentenced to 100 days in jail for his fourth conviction on Sept. 18.
