Caragan Volz’s solid cross country season continued Sept. 28, as the Weyauwega-Fremont sophomore finished fourth at the Polar Bear 3.1 for Everyone Invitational at Greenville Lions Park.
Volz crossed the finish line in 21:23 and the Indians placed seventh. Also finishing for W-F were Alyse Peters (25th, 23:47); Paige Kempf (34th, 25:15); Miranda Arndt (43rd, 27:40); Brianne Durrant (45th, 31:59); and Emily Durrant (46th, 32:05).
The Indians’ boys’ squad did not have a full team for the meet. Logan Kobiske placed 34th in 21:07, Zach Volz was 43rd in 22:10 and Glen Walborn was 46th in 23:30.
The Indians will compete at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Waupaca Invitational at Waupaca High School.
