Lutefisk, lefse and rosettes

Lutefisk, lefse and other Norwegian favorites were served at the 96th Annual Lutefisk Supper held Saturday, Oct. 19, at Northland Lutheran Church in Iola.

For dessert, guests enjoyed rosettes, sandbakkels, krumkakes and fattigmann cookies.

The event included a raffle, bake sale and craft sale.

The church usually serves 500 pounds of lutefisk, 350 pounds of potatoes, 300 pounds of meatballs, 39 cases of lefse, 36 pounds of butter, and 20 bags of cabbage.

The Northland Lutheran Church has hosted the traditional Norwegian supper since 1915.
