Fremont man charged with repeated sexual assault

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of John M. Miller, 47, Fremont. He is charged with repeated sexual assault of a child and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Miller allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl on multiple occasions between Sept. 1 and Oct. 10.

On Aug. 27, Miller appeared in Waupaca County Circuit court on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct as an act of domestic abuse and was released on a $500 signature bond.

According to court records, Miller was convicted of a felony narcotics charge in June 2011 in Winnebago County and sentenced to 21 months in prison.

Miller was convicted of two counts of burglary in Winnebago County in 2007 and sentenced to three years in prison.

In March 2000 in Winnebago County, Miller was convicted of burglary and felony bail jumping and sentenced to seven years in prison. He was paroled in 2004.

Miller faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted of repeated sexual assault of a child.
