Charles L. Chivers, age 84, of Waupaca, WI passed away suddenly on Monday, November 4, 2013 at his residence.
Charles was born in Hustisford, WI on April 17, 1929, the son of the late Lawrence and Elsie (Kaiser) Chivers. He worked for many years in the Janesville area in residential building. On September 15, 1945, he married Georgia Hallett and she preceded him in death on May 12, 1981. Then on March 20, 1982, Charles married Jane Adriaenssens in Waupaca. He is a member of First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca and loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and working in his yard. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Charles is survived by wife, Jane Chivers, Waupaca, WI; his children: Diana Baker, Tampa, FL; Cheryl (Lon) Harris, Menominee, MI; Londa (Tony) Farrell Sr., Janesville, WI and Rev. Charles (Debbie) Chivers, Waupaca, WI; his step-children: Jay Adriaenssens, Amherst, WI; Jill (Michael) Borkowski, Wild Rose, WI and Jodi (Chad Gretson) Adriaenssens, Waupaca, WI. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 24 great- grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife, Georgia, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, a grandchild and a great grandchild.
The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 9 at 11 AM at First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca. Burial will follow in the Spencer Lake Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and again on Saturday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church.
