The village of Fremont’s caucus will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, the village hall.

Candidates will be nominated for the three trustee seats on the village board.

Up for re-election on April 1 are Jim Falke, Dewey Tangwall and Steve Van Lyssel.

All three are currently serving their first terms on the village board.

A village homeowner since 1990, Falke is the kitchen manager at Ted’s Grandview Supper Club.

Tangwall is a Rice Lake native who moved to Fremont in 1971.

He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and for 10 years, taught middle school reading and language in the W-F School District before making a career change.

Tangwall had an insurance agency in Fremont until 2010. At that time, he sold it and retired.

He is a graduate of W-F High School and UW-Madison and is the owner of the Bridge Bar & Restaurant.
