The Wolves basketball team was a gracious host when it opened its conference schedule, Friday, Dec. 13. They hosted unbeaten Weyauwega-Fremont, falling 42-11.
The Indians used a full court pressure defense to hold Manawa to only five first half points — two in the first quarter and three in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Weyauwega-Fremont scored 13 points in the first quarter and 10 points in the second quarter.
The Wolves scored more points in the third quarter — six — than they did the rest of the game. They were shutout in the fourth quarter.
The Indians continued to roll in the second half, scoring a total of 19 points. They cruised to a 42-11 win over the Wolves.
Molly Loughrin led Manawa with four points.
The Wolves host Bonduel, Friday, Dec. 20.
