Michael S. Hudziak, 36, Waupaca, is charged with third-degree sexual assault, felony suffocation, intimidation of a victim, misdemeanor battery. disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property as acts of domestic violence.
On Dec. 25, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Patrick Gorchals was dispatched to a home in Farmington. A woman had called 911 and reported Hudziak had tried to suffocate her during an argument.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman told Gorchals that Hudziak had picked her up and body-slammed her into the couch, then placed a blanket over her face and tried to suffocate her.
Two days earlier, Hudziak allegedly smashed the woman’s cellphone when she attempted to call police during another argument.
The woman reported Hudziak had been verbally abusive in the past, but had never laid a hand on her prior to the Dec. 25 incident, the complaint says.
Hudziak told Gorchals he did not body-slam the woman onto the couch and he put the blanket over her head to calm her down, not suffocate her, the complaint says.
