The Bulldogs hosted Shawano, Friday, Dec. 20 and came away with a convincing 52-23 win.
New London scored early and often as they built a 12-6 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs again scored 12 points in the second quarter, and limited Shawano to five points, to hold a 24-11 halftime lead.
New London’s best scoring output came in the third quarter when they scored 15 points. Throw in another 13 points in the fourth quarter, and the Bulldogs won handily, 52-23.
As a team, the Bulldogs made 20 of 41 shot attempts from the field, including 3 of 12 from beyond the three point line. Defensively, the team had a total of 18 steals.
It was a balanced scoring attack, with Lexi Roland leading the way with 14 points. Payton Mix scored 10 points, while Gretl Steingraber and Mickey Roland chipped in with seven and six points, respectively.
The Bulldogs travel to Seymour, Friday, Jan. 3.
