Truckers go 1-3 at EVC Quad

The Truckers wrestling team hosted the Eastern Valley Conference Quad, Thursday, Dec. 19.

As a team, the Truckers went 1-3 during the quad. They beat Berlin, 37-30. They lost a close match to Winneconne, 35-33, and were blown out 62-6 by Freedom.

Individual results:

106 pounds: Cole Cotherman won a match against Berlin by forfeit. He also lost a major decision to Mitch Garvey of Freedom.

132 pounds: Kelvyn Van Laarhoven earned two pins on the day. He pinned Ryan Henschel of Winneconne in 1:20 and Marc Krentz of Berlin in 10 seconds. He was pinned by in 1:45 by Cody Walrath of Freedom.

145 pounds: Tim Jerabek pinned Joseph Dobyns of Berlin in 3:13. He also won by forfeit against Winneconne. He lost by tech fall to Seth Vosters of Freedom.

152 pounds: Darin Carrigg won a 13-9 decision over Jeremiah of Winneconne, and a 11-9 decision over Devan Buckholt of Berlin. He lost his bout to Blaz Daul of Freedom by tech fall.

160 pounds: Shayne Collar pinned Berlin’s Dillon Milner in 1:59. He was pinned by Ethan Miller of Winneconne in 2:42. He also lost by major decision to Adam Vosters of Freedom.

170 pounds: Chase Jung beat Berlin’s Dylan Bortz by an 11-2 major decision. He lost be a tech fall to Hunter Messerschmidt of Winneconne and Ramsey Bloy of Freedom.

182 pounds: Charlie Poppe wrestled two matches in this weight class. He won one by a 3-1 decision over Berlin’s Mitchell Kramer. He lost one by a 4-2 decision to Jake VanGrinsven of Freedom.

195 pounds: Poppe wrestled one match in this weight class, pinning Cole Breuer of Winneconne in 3:40. Jake Reiter also wrestled one match in this weight class, winning by a 8-3 decision over Berlin’s David Meza.

220 pounds: Reiter wrestled two matches in this weight class, earning two pins. He pinned Winneconne’s Jack Litgens in 4:25 and Freedom’s Alex Rohan in 3:51.
