Meshnick, Marlene

Marlene B. Meshnick, age 73, New London, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2014.

Marlene was born November 24, 1940, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Gustave and Mary Ann (Luterbach) Krueger of Manawa. She graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1959. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Marlene worked as a seamstress for Chapman Department Store in Milwaukee. She was a graduate of the Green Bay School of Cosmetology and was employed as a beautician at Winnebago State Hospital. She later worked at Hillshire Farm/Sara Lee for many years. Marlene traveled throughout her life and was always up for anything, especially shopping. She treasured her special relationship with her grandchildren.

Marlene is survived by her children: Michele (Drew) Patterson, Heather (Tom) Prasalowicz and John Meshnick; grandchildren: Megan and Jack; siblings: Nancy Wolf, Janet (Bill) Holtz, Donald (Karen) Krueger, Marian (Dave) Freund, Michael Krueger and James (Jane) Krueger. Plus, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was recently preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Norbert Meshnick.

Funeral Mass for Marlene will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 3:00pm at Most Precious Blood Church, New London, with Fr. Robert Groher officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:30pm until start of service. Assisting the family with the arrangements is Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London.
