Applicants sought for Snodeo Queen

Applications are being accepted for the 2014 Snodeo Queen and Princesses.

The Queen and her court will be expected to not only promote the Manawa Snodeo but the community as well, building camaraderie between the youth and adults throughout the area.

The Snodeo Court may be asked to participate in radio and newspaper ads in the weeks prior to the event.

The Queen and Princesses will also assist in the opening ceremonies of the Snodeo, help with the race line-ups and aid in the distribution of trophies.

Contestants must be between 15 and 19 years old as well as reside within a school district within Waupaca County and be a student of a high school therein.

Contestants must have written consent from their parents, as well as, permit their photograph and name to be used in all publicity of the event.

The winning contestants will be chosen based on their answers to questions on the application.

The deadline for the application is Jan. 31.

The seventh annual Snodeo will take place Feb. 14 “Under the Lights” and all day Feb. 15 at Bear Lake Campground and Resort.

Snodeo festivities, which include Kitty Kat races, Lakecross, Radar Runs, Ice Drag and Oval races, will be presided over by the Snodeo Court.
