James C. Heinzl, age 69, of Weyauwega, died unexpectedly on Jan 6, 2013 at his home.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1944, the son of the late Clifford and Bernice (Hove) Heinzl. Jim was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed by Waupaca County Highway Dept for 39 years before retiring. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the NRA, SCI, Delta Water Fowl, Waupaca Conservation Club, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elks, Varmint Hunters Association, Musky Inc. and Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association.
Jim is survived by a sister, Sandra Oswald, Oak Forest, IL; nephew, James Oswald Jr, San Francisco, CA; and a special friend, Sonja Grawvunder, Weyauwega; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Rev Larry Gross will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund has been established for Waupaca County Sturgeon Trail.
