Fischer, Patrick R.

Patrick R. Fischer, age 73, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.

He was born on February 29, 1940, in New London, WI, the son of the late Arthur and Regina (Herres). Pat served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was the former owner of Fischer’s Service Station in Fremont, and enjoyed trains and cars, bowling, the Green Bay Packers, Nascar and classic country music.

Pat is survived by a daughter, Kristine Fischer, Fremont; a son, Jeffrey Fischer, Waupaca; two grandchildren, Hawkin and Cody; a brother, Richard(Maryette)Fischer, Wild Rose; four sisters: Barbara Loughrin, New London; Janet(Charles)Griffith, Iola; Sandra(Allen)Clark, Iola and Diane(Pat)Murphy, New London; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Sommers.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Pastor Alex Tychkin will officiate. Military rites and burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Fremont. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
