Donovan “Butch” Dobbert, age 84, of Weyauwega, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center.
He was born on July 26, 1929 in Weyauwega, son of the late Elmer and Laura (Knoble) Dobbert. Butch was a resident of Weyauwega his entire life. He loved fishing and hunting any time he could. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.
He is survived by his siblings: Harley Dobbert, Weyauwega; Alan (Romona) Dobbert, Weyauwega; Frank (Barbara) Dobbert, New London; Duane (Geri) Dobbert, Weyauwega; and Judy Schumann, Weyauwega. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Virginia (Harland) Wall, Carol (Bud) Ebeltoft and Kenneth (Evelyn) Dobbert.
The Christian Funeral for Butch will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Newlin Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega in the spring. A visitation for Butch will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega and on Wednesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
