The Manawa boys’ basketball team hosted Shiocton, Friday, Jan. 17, and lost 62-38.
Both teams scored well in the first quarter with Shiocton pulling out to a 17-10 lead at the end of the quarter.
A brutal second quarter, in which Manawa scored only two points, sent Manawa to the locker room at halftime trailing, 32-12.
The scoring in the third quarter almost mirrored the first quarter with Shiocton outscoring Manawa 16-10 in the quarter. Manawa saved their best for the final quarter, outscoring Shiocton 16-14.
Adam Langman led Manawa with 10 points, while Luke Wilz and Brandon Radloff chipped in with seven and five points, respectively.
Manawa will travel to Amherst, Friday, Dec. 24.
