Cold start, poor finish leads to loss

The Manawa Wolves basketball team scored only three points in the first quarter against Wisconsin Valley Lutheran, Tuesday, Jan. 21, before bowing out, 56-33.

After the slow start, the Wolves rebounded to score 10 points in each of the remaining three quarters. That wasn’t nearly enough as their defense gave up 13, 12 and 21 points in each of the remaining three quarters. 

When the final buzzer sounded, the Wolves were defeated, 56-33.

Brandon Radloff led the Wolves with 12 points. Luke Wilz, David Blum and Shane Manthey each scored six points.
