Baum, Beverly A.

Beverly Ann Baum, age 61, Shiocton passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014.

She was born on January 16, 1953, in New London, daughter of Benjamin and Pearl (Grawvunder) Roehl. Beverly graduated from New London High School in 1971 and went onto serve in the US Marine Corp. She moved back to Wisconsin in 1977 to raise her family and pursue an education in nursing. She graduated from FVTC with an LPN nursing degree. Beverly went on to work for over 20 years as an LPN caring for patients in hospitals, nursing homes and in their homes. Her kind heart and compassion always showed through when caring for her patients. She also worked for 10 years as an EMT for New London hospital. She was on call day or night to go when someone needed her. Beverly loved to go on trips with her family. Her adventures took her to New York, Florida, up the east coast, out west, Iowa, Canada and Niagara falls.

Her children were her pride and joy. She was at every play, concert, tractor pull and sporting event. We knew she would always move heaven and earth to be there for us. She would sacrifice anything for herself to make sure we had all we needed. Every time we left the house she would always say “Love you and drive carefully”. Mom we love you and we know that you are finally at peace. Give Justin and Grandma big hugs for us and we look forward to the day we are all together again.

Beverly is survived by her husband Edward Baum; father Benjamin Roehl; children: Lisa (Brad) Griffin; Cindy (Doc) Furman; and William Baum; grandchildren: Jessica (Tyler) Kopetsky, Jordon Griffin, Noah Furman and Kasey Furman and great-granddaughter Kylee Kopetsky. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Pearl Roehl, father-in-law Vincent Baum, mother-in-law Buelah Baum and grandson Justin Griffin.
