Jacqueline J. VanBiervliet, age 84, New London, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center, following a short illness.
She was born in New London on September 15, 1929, daughter of the late Hans and Hattie (Hobbs) Jensen. In June of 1949 she was united in marriage to John VanBiervliet. Their love gave us: Bonnie (Dean) Bartel, Connie (Charlie) Westphal and Linda VanBiervliet. John died in 1955. Jackie was then married to Duane Young in 1960 and is survived by Mike (Debbie) Young and Mary (Jim) Sawall. We didn’t stop there! With 10 grandchildren and 11 beautiful great-grandchildren; she was everybody’s mom and grandma. Also, survived by a sister Lila Mae (Harold) Frank. She was preceded in death by her husband John; siblings: Mattie (Maynard) Burton; Swede and Nina Jensen and a daughter Nina Jean VanBiervliet.
Funeral services for Jackie will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Residence Chapel, New London with Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Burial will be in the Northport Ostrander Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the chapel on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Jackie’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Residence and the staff at Appleton Medical Center for all the care and concern they have given to her.
