Clintonville man charged with burglary

Lucas G. Weber, 25, Clintonville, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.

On Dec. 7, 2013, Clintonville Police Officer Craig Kamke was dispatched to a home on 14th Street in response to a reported break-in.

Entry had been made by breaking a latch on a window.

Among the items stolen were a 12-inch sliding compound miter saw, an air compressor and a finish nailer. The owner estimated the total value of the missing items at $1,130.

On Dec. 11, Kamke contacted a pawn shop in Appleton and learned Weber had been paid $140 for a compound miter saw. He obtained a copy of a surveillance video from the store which showed what appeared to be Weber pawning the saw.

According to the criminal complaint, police found the other missing items in Weber’s garage. He lives across the street from the victim.
