Niemuth, Wilbur A.

Wilbur A. Niemuth, age 90, formerly of Dale, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Residence in New London.

God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he whispered: come with me. He was born on February 8, 1924 in the town of Dale, the son of Louis and Rose (Lederer) Niemuth. On July 11, 1946 he married Lydia (Luedtke). She preceded him in death on January 12, 1989. Wilbur worked at the Dale Feed Mill and was a retired dairy farmer. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Readfield.

Survivors include: a daughter Karen (William) Kuehl, New London; two sons, Gilbert (Cheryl) Niemuth, Hortonville, and Marlin Niemuth, Fremont; three grandchildren, Jason Kuehl, Alicia Niemuth, and Steven Niemuth. He is also survived by a brother Eugene (Laverne) Niemuth, New London. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his wife, his parents, a son Michael Niemuth, an infant granddaughter, a grandson Glen Niemuth, a brother Robert (Dorothy) Niemuth, and a sister Shirley (Gerald) Schoenrock.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 3, 2014 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Readfield with Pastor Peter Kesting officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Readfield. Friends called directly at the church on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at St. Joseph residence, New London and Heartland Hospice, De Pere for the compassion, care and love shown to Wilbur and his family during his stay.
