Waupaca man charged with felony drunken driving

Shawn A. Kreibich, 46, Waupaca, was charged with a fifth drunken driving offense, operating after revocation and misdemeanor bail jumping.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Strobusch was traveling northbound on Washington Street in Waupaca when he noticed a tan Buick at the stop sign at Granite Street.

Strobusch ran a records check on the license plate, and it came back as belonging to a blue Dodge Neon.

The driver, identified as Kreibich, had four prior drunken driving convictions.

According to the criminal complaint, Kreibich had a revoked driver’s license and a 0.081 blood-alcohol level at the time of his arrest.

On Aug. 17, 2010, Kreibich was convicted in Waupaca County of a fourth drunken driving offense and his license revoked for three years.

On Sept. 26, 2012, he was convicted in Waupaca County of operating after revocation.

On Nov. 13, 2013, Kreibich was charged in Waupaca County with operating after revocation and released on a $1,000 signature bond.

On Feb. 4, Kriebich was charged in Portage County with operating after revocation. He appeared in court on Feb. 10 and was released on a $500 signature bond.
