A candidate forum that had been tentatively slated for Saturday, March 22, has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts with some of the candidates.
The event was being organized by the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce.
“I have heard back that Judy Magee and Mike Hankins can attend the forum, Tricia Rose and Mary Beth Kuester are unable to attend,” said Chamber Director Sandy Yaeger in a letter distributed to candidates on March 14. “I’ve also received a response from Jeanne Schley. No other responses were received. I do realize it was a very short notice but wanted to offer an opportunity to all of you as well as the public to hear from you personally. It was also our intent that there be one public forum instead of multiple meetings with several different candidates to hopefully get a better public turnout.”
Yaeger said the Chamber is planning to hold a forum for the public in 2015 and will contact all candidates in January 2015 to confirm a date and time that works for them.
