St. Martin Lutheran School students will present their musical production of “The Music Man Jr.” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 10-11 in the school gym.
The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef.
His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s powers just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.
It is a performance is based on the on the Broadway classic. Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for children, and ages five and under get in free.
