Mary R. Guthu, age 64, New London, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, with her family by her side at St. Joseph Residence, New London following a short battle with cancer.
She was born on August 1, 1949, daughter of William and Elaine (Michaelis) Rousseau. Mary loved her family and enjoyed reading and taking care of her flowers. She worked at Piggly Wiggly in New London for over 20 years and for a short time at Bank Mutual.
She is survived by her husband Larry; 3 children, John (Cathy) Guthu, De Pere; Adam (Betsy) Guthu, Appleton; Rose (Robert) Klatt, New London. Mary is further survived by 3 grandchildren, Austin Guthu, Hope Klatt and Calvin Guthu and also many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. She will be missed by all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a daughter.
Funeral services for Mary will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
