Donald J. Gustin, age 72, of New London, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday July 9, 2014.
He was born on July 3, 1942 in Park Falls, WI, son of the late Milton and Alice (Hughes) Gustin. On September 9, 1967 he was united in marriage to his wife Judith. He worked at Simmons Juvenile Products in New London for 28 years, retiring in 2005 when the plant shut down. Don and Judy formerly owned and operated the Spruce Inn in Park Falls. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; two daughters, Dawn (Murphy) Hays, Stoddard, WI; Carrie (John) Samson, New London; three sons, Thomas (Stephanie) Gustin, Plover; Tim (Chee Thor) Gustin, Appleton; Bill Gustin, New London; one sister, Sandra Pond, Port Richey, FL and twelve grandchildren. Don is further survived by many in-laws and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Isham.
The Funeral Ceremony for Don will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 11, 2014 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Chaplain James Frank officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
