Hanneman, Karen K

Karen Kay Hanneman, 62 of New London, formerly of Ft. Worth TX; died Friday July 25, 2014 at her residence. 

She was born December 20, 1951 in Berlin, daughter of the late Harlo and Nadine (Darby) Hanneman. Karen loved music she enjoyed playing the flute. She also loved nature; she especially enjoyed feeding the birds and animals that would come by. Karen’s greatest joy was when she was able to help others; she would always give what she could to help someone in need. 

Karen is survived by her two sisters, Kathy Schmidt, New London, and Dawn Engel, Appleton; her brother, David Hanneman, Appleton; four nieces, Kristina (James) Dorn, Karel (John) Ochs, Amber Hanneman, and Dana Engel; four nephews, Dallas Hanneman, Dereck (Cassy) Hanneman, Thomas Doxatar, and Daniel Sell; great-nephew, Jameson Ochs; cousin, Todd (Tamie) Darby, GA; two aunts, Nettie Darby, Oak Brook, IL; and Jo Pace, Portage; a great-nephew and great-nieces; and all of her very good friends in the Dallas/Ft Worth, TX area. She was further preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ken Schmidt; cousin, Jeff Darby; and an uncle, Rodrick Darby. In keeping with Karen’s wishes, a private family memorial will be held.
