Stiebs , Doris A.

Doris A. Stiebs, age 83, of New London, went to her heavenly home on Friday, August 1, 2014. 

She was born on April 15, 1931 in Stevens Point, daughter of the late Harold and Anna (Lucht) Richmond. On August 30, 1952, she was united in marriage to Earl Stiebs in Stevens Point. Doris worked as a certified nursing assistant at New London Community Hospital for 38 years retiring in 1993. When she was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London, she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a secretary, and also sang in the choir. She is now a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London and their Ladies Aid. 

She is survived by her husband Earl; children: Marie (Joe) Barker, New London; Lori Stiebs (Mark Mathewson), New London; Catherine (Gary) Martzke, Shawano; David (Bobbi) Stiebs, New London; Richard (Lisa) Stiebs, Oshkosh; Bill (Lynn) Stiebs, Appleton; 19 grandchildren: Amy, Jon, Bryan, Sage, Aaron, Dylan, Stonna, David Jr., Bill, Angela, Nicholas, Spencer, Parker, Justin, Kyle, Keagen, Tala, Alex, Kenton; 12 great-grandchildren: Kassidy, Maya, Sophia, Calista, Bryce, Zachary, Taylor Ann, Wyatt, Airanna, Alivia, Evelyn and Blake; 3 brothers: Vernon (Delores) Richmond, Stevens Point; David (Janice) Richmond, Berlin; Harry (Laura) Richmond, Wisconsin Rapids; sister-in-law, Alice Richmond, Stevens Point. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her beloved Teddy. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Frederick, grandson Bryan, and her father and mother-in-law, Ed and Clara Stiebs. 

The Christian Funeral for Doris will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Burial will be in Baldwins Mill Cemetery, Town of Royalton. A visitation for Doris will be held directly at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London is assisting the family with the arrangements. Doris was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor with a smile for everyone and a sparkle in her eye.
