Ruth W. Lenk, age 84 years, of Clintonville (formerly of Leopolis) passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Pine Manor Health Care Center, Embarrass.
The former Ruth Winifred Schultze was born December 30, 1929 in Sheboygan to Gustave and Emma (Laditzch) Schultze. She was raised in Sheboygan and graduated from Sheboygan High School. Ruth was united in marriage on August 17, 1949 to Gordon F. Lenk in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee for some years and she enjoyed being a homemaker. Ruth and Gordon moved to Leopolis out in the country in 1987. Her husband preceded her in death on February 25, 2006 and shortly after that Ruth moved to Angelus Retirement Community in Clintonville. She is a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion, and is currently a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Ruth’s interests included crocheting, painting, scrapbooking, and various craft projects. She loved animals of all sorts and spending time with family.
Survivors include four children: Charmaine Wilks of Neshkoro, Jodell Gillon of Milwaukee, Steven Lenk of Plover, and Michael Lenk of Beaver Dam. There are 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 nephew. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gordon; a grandson, Ryan; a sister, Elizabeth Marquardt, and two brothers, Gordon and Ralph.
A committal service was held on Saturday, August 16th at 11:30 a.m. at the mausoleum at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Shawano. Deacon Paul Brulla from St. Rose officiated. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisted the family. Online condolences may be sent via www.beil-didier.com
