Lucille D. Fritz, age 83, of New London, passed away on Thursday August 21, 2014 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega.
She was born on August 1, 1931 in New London, daughter of the late Paul and Hattie (Kanaman) Seefeld. On September 9, 1950, she was united in marriage to Donald Fritz in New London. He preceded her in death in 2004. Lucille was a devoted and active member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. She formerly worked at Hamilton’s Canning Factory, Clintonville Glove Factory and the Larsen Canning Factory. She was very active in the community and had various side jobs. Lucille loved fishing, snowmobiling and going to the family cottage up north.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin (Corrine) Fritz, Davenport, Iowa; James (Kevin) Fritz, Chicago; a special nephew, Ronnie Seefeld; in-laws, Raymond (Inge) Fritz, Maxine Lathrop, Robert (Lorraine) Fritz; four grandchildren, Donald, Randi, Lauren, David and great-grandchildren. Lucille is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Greg; three brothers, Irvin, Harvey, Clarence “Butch”; two sisters, Esther Bellile and Dorothy Schwanz.
The Funeral Ceremony for Lucille will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 25, 2014 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Marcus Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. The family wishes to extend special gratitude to all those who helped take care of our mother over the years, and also to the wonderful staff at Lakeview Manor and Theda Care Hospice at Home.
