Clintonville needs a city administrator

I can imagine one of these days we will no longer have a city administrator but I wish it were not so.

The people in Clintonville need to ask the council how they plan to move the city forward without a qualified city administrator. I have heard from many business people and many homeowners who know how important and passionate she is for the community, but very few people who oppose her. And please don’t insult the peoples’ intelligence and say the majority of the people think the way you do. Maybe you should be honest and tell the citizens your intentions, before you are elected, what your real goals are.

Does the council have any idea how to replace someone with the experience and who has as many contacts state wide and locally as Lisa has? It takes many years of experience to get someone that can actually benefit the city. You can’t even hire a qualified utility worker, how are you going to hire a qualified administrator for under $150,000 per year. There is a difference between a qualified administrator with a degree in city administration vs. someone who has no degree in this area. We don’t need the latter.

What exactly are you going to do? Tell all the citizens your intentions. This situation will set the city back 10-20 years if you do not hire someone with great qualifications and contacts. I am sure with the knowledge and wisdom of the new council they will figure out something, but what?
