Library planning 2015 Waupaca BookFest

Planning is under way for next year’s Waupaca BookFest.

It will be held on Saturday, April 18, at the Waupaca Area Public Library.

The event will feature children, young adult and adult authors.

Plans call for about 10 authors to participate.

There will be several events leading up to the book festival, including an edible books contest, writers’ workshops, raffles, a poetry night, classroom visits by authors and a dessert reception to welcome the authors.

The raffle items will be one-of-a-kind book bags created by some of the authors who attended either Waupaca’s 2010 book festival or its 2012 one.

Each book bag will contain a signed copy of the author’s latest book.

The book bags will be on display at the library.

With the exception of the classroom visits, all Waupaca BookFest events will be open to the public.

There will be fees for the writers’ workshops and the authors’ reception.
