Jorgenson submits resignation from Clintonville city council

Alderman Jerry Jorgenson has submitted his resignation from the Clintonville Common Council.

Clintonville Mayor Judy Magee confirmed that the letter of resignation has been submitted and will be in the board packet for the council meeting, Tuesday, Sept. 9.

The Clintonville Tribune Gazette first learned of the resignation on Wednesday, Sept. 3 when Alderwoman Mary-Beth Kuester informed the Tribune Gazette that Jorgenson had resigned.

The Tribune Gazette immediately sought confirmation from Magee, and received that confirmation Friday, Sept. 5.

At a special council meeting, Tuesday, Sept. 2, Jorgenson emerged from closed session 20 minutes after the council convened into closed session and left city hall. He did not return.
