Polar Bears terrorized by Appleton West

The Appleton West Terrors visited Hortonville for a match on Thursday, Sept. 11, earning a 4-0 victory over the Polar Bears.

The Terrors struck quickly as Juan Lopez scored his first goal of the game at the 9:25 mark of the first half on an assist from Bailey Sweeney. 

Lopez scored again at the 16:18 mark on an assist from Murillo Parra to give his team a quick 2-0 lead.

Kyle Thor added a goal at the 21:40 mark on an assist from Parra to make the score 3-0 at halftime.

The Polar Bear defense stepped up in the second half, allowing just one goal to Sweeney at the 47:30 mark.

Hortonville’s offense had a handful of scoring opportunities but couldn’t put the ball in the net.

Mason Guyette had seven saves for the Polar Bears, while Eli Nichols added six saves.

Appleton West’s Aidan Fogarty had eight saves in the game.
