Harry “Bud” Kachelmeier of Waupaca, age 72, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center.
He was born in Milwaukee on July 31, 1942 to the late Harvey and Elaine (Thomas) Kachelmeier. On September 18, 1965 he married Sandra Makrevis; she preceded him in death on November 1, 2013. Bud was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for 25 years at Filter Materials and more recently for Koeppen’s Transport. Bud loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors and nascar racing.
He will be sadly missed by: his daughters, Tammy (Steve) Weller and their sons:, Cody and Jacob; Tracy (Mike) Slaby of Waupaca and their son, Kyle (fiancée, Brittany) of Holmen; son, Ricky Kachelmeier of Oshkosh; siblings: Gloria (John), Bonnie (Ken), Dan (Debbie), Dick (Lori), special sister-in-law, Mary and family, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dawn Laguna and Cheryl Marks and a special great grandma.
The Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
