WHS ready to celebrate homecoming

“Comets shower down on Berlin” is the theme of Waupaca High School’s 2014 homecoming.

Homecoming activities begin on Friday, Sept. 19, with the start of window decorating and float workshops.

The Powder Puff Football game is at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, at the high school practice field.

Boys Volleyball is at 6 p.m., in the high school gym.

Monday, Sept. 22 is Camo/Orange/Flannel Day, with the junior varsity football team playing against Luxemburg/Casco at 5 p.m., at Haberkorn Field.

There is also freshmen, junior varsity and varsity volleyball at 6 p.m. that day, at Weyawuega-Fremont High School.

Tuesday, Sept. 23 is Disney Day.

Skits and windows are judged that day, and there is junior varsity and varsity soccer at Clintonville at 5 p.m. and junior volleyball at Berlin at 5 p.m.

Coronation is at 8 p.m. in the high school’s Performing Arts Center.

Wednesday, Sept. 24 is Color Day (staff-comet blue, senior-black, juniors-orange, sophomores-dark green, freshman-neon yellow.

That day, varsity girls golf is at Wander Springs at 9 a.m.

Thursday, Sept. 25 is Grandma/Grandpa Day, and the day’s activities include cross country at Westfield at 4 p.m.; freshmen football at Berlin at 5 p.m.; junior varsity and varsity soccer against Hortonville at 5 p.m., at Haberkorn Field; and freshmen, junior varsity and varsity against Berlin here at 5:15 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 26 is School Spirit Day, with the pep rally in the high school gym at 1:45 p.m., the parade through downtown Waupaca at 5 p.m. and the varsity football game against Berlin at 7 p.m., at Haberkorn Field.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, the dance is in the high school commons from 7-11 p.m., with the grand march at 10:30 p.m.
