Sosinske, Margaret ?Susie? Jeanette

Margaret “Susie” Jeanette Sosinske, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, formerly of Waupaca, Wisconsin, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Bethel Home in Oshkosh, WI. 

She was born on March 20, 1923 in the Town of Lind, Waupaca Co., WI, daughter of Felix and Sophia (Johnson) Sosinske. Margaret graduated from Waupaca High School in 1940 and then attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1944. After graduation, she joined the U.S. Army where she served as a nurse in the Philippines. Margaret worked for Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh for 40 years before retiring on March 1, 1988 as the Head Nurse and Supervisor of the Intensive Care Unit. She was an avid sports fan cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and Bucks throughout the years. Margaret enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards with her friends. She especially enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Waupaca with her family and many friends. Margaret will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends. 

Margaret is survived by: a brother, Eugene “Wesley” (Betty) Sosinske; nieces: Adrienne Sosinske, Margaret (Dick) Morey, Susan Rohloff, Kathleen Hromada, Janet Sosinske, and Julie (Mark) Arndorfer; nephews: Jerome (Brenda) Sosinske, Dennis (Sherri) Sosinske, and James (Natalie) Sosinske She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, the Wassmann, Ertl, Regan, and Coenen Families, other relatives and many friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her best friend, Dolores Wassmann; her parents, Felix and Sophia Sosinske; two brothers, Robert “Stanley” Sosinske and Glen Sosinske; three sisters-in-law, Helen, Mae, and Mavis Sosinske; a nephew, Glen “Doug” Sosinske; and very dear friends, Jim and Audrey Ertl. 

A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Waupaca, WI. Reverend Andy Behrendt will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Saxeville Union Cemetery in the Town of Saxeville, WI. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Mercy Health Foundation, 500 S. Oakwood Road, Oshkosh, WI 54903. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
