Tony A. Spaeth Jr., 22, Waupaca, is charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child and one count of felony child abuse.
On March 6, 2013, a 14-year-old girl went to the New London police station with her brother and her friend and reported that Spaeth had punched her in the stomach a week earlier.
According to the criminal complaint, the girl said she first met Spaeth in October 2012 and that they began dating in December 2012. He allegedly had sex with her on three different occasions.
When the girl told Spaeth she believed she may be pregnant, he punched her in the stomach, the girl said.
The girl later told a detective she had taken two home pregnancy tests, and they were both negative.
