Waupaca man faces felony OWI

A one-vehicle crash in the town of Farmington has resulted in a fifth drunken driving charge against Cameron P. Carlson, 43, Waupaca.

Shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, Deputy Josh Krueger was dispatched to County Trunk QQ near Pryse Drive in Farmington. The caller had reported seeing nobody in the abandoned car, but had seen a man walking north on County QQ.

According to the criminal complaint, Krueger found Carlson lying in the grass near Noffke’s Lumber on County QQ. He reported that Carlson’s speech was slurred and his eyes red and glassy.

A preliminary breath test indicated Carlson had a 0.228 blood-alcohol level. He was convicted of drunken driving offenses in October 2000, January 2003, March 2004 and July 2009. His license has been revoked since his fourth drunken driving conviction.
