Niemuth, Allen ?Pete?

Allen “Pete” Niemuth, age 87, Manawa, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Joseph Residence, New London.

He was born on May 8, 1927 in the Town of Dupont, son of the late Olto and Olga (Hufmeister) Niemuth. On June 2, 1950, he was united in marriage to Illa Bock. Pete enjoyed fishing, hunting, the Brewers and Packers; he actually attended the “Ice Bowl” in 1967. He was also known as “Symco’s Best” for his horseshoe throwing ability. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him great joy. He was also a longtime member of St. Mark Church, Symco.

He is survived by: his wife Illa; daughter Sherri (Daryl) Schramm, New London; sons, Todd (Debbie) Niemuth; Scott Niemuth (special friend Kathy Johnson), both of Manawa; four grandchildren: Lisa Lathrop, Brent Schramm (fiancée, Amy), Bryn Niemuth and Britney (Justin) Riesenberg; four great-grandchildren: Dylan, Kylie, Addisyn and Jax. He is further survived by special friends and long-time neighbors, Arden and Barb Lightfuss. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and a brother.

The memorial service for Pete will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Symco. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa and also at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
