This year’s Share-A-Tea Committee gathered recently to present a check for $3,509 to the Iola-Scandinavia School District.
This year’s event, “Around the World: A Holiday Tea,” was attended by 119 people.
The money will go into funds in the elementary and middle/high school, designated for use for students in need in the I-S School District.
This was the fifth annual tea, with profits in the previous four years totaling over $10,000.
A special appreciation goes out to the many individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of the event, including high school students who assisted with food service and also with the “behind the scenes” work.
