Gilbert “Gib” Charles Behm, age 87, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at home.
He was born in the Town of Farmington on February 1, 1927 to the late Charles and Hulda (Smith) Behm. On June 25, 1971 he married Marilyn Heger and they resided in Ogdensburg for the past 30 years. Gilbert was an employee of Waupaca County for 25 years, until his retirement in January 1990. On October 11, 2014 he was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness. He enjoyed woodworking and building furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children: Mary Behm, Mark (Sheila) Behm, Karen (Mike) Miller, and Jeff Behm; step-children: Debbie (Don) Bera, Lisa Bonnell and Dan Bonnell; brother, Charles (Joyce) Behm; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gib was preceded in death by a son, Scottie; and siblings: Adelia Ravey, Stella Luethold, Harold Behm and Nora Allen.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. Alfred Ellison will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
